Golden Medal Awarded in Recognition of National and International Quality Effort
Quality and Qualification have been a long-time focus within the work program of the Austrian Professional Association of Management Consultancy and IT. For several years these efforts have been driven by Dr. Ilse Ennsfellner, CMC, in her role as quality assurance representative of the Association.
Convinced that quality issues in the consulting industry require both, a national as well as a global view, Ennsfellner soon extended her activities from the local to an international level. In 2008 Ennsfellner took the lead in the project for the development of the new Management Consultancy Service standard EN 16114. The project team, involving representatives of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) and the European Federation of Management Consultancies (FEACO) finally launched the new standard together with the European Standardization Committee (CEN) in November 2011. The standard is a milestone in the international service industry by increasing transparency of consultancy services. In recognition of her commitment within the CEN Project Team and her longstanding efforts to drive quality initiatives with ICMCI and on the Austrian consultancy services market, Dr. Ilse Ennsfellner was awarded the first Gold Medal of the Austrian Professional Association of Management Consultancy and IT by Chairman Alfred Harl in September 2011.

European standard "Management Consultancy Services" EN 16114
For the first time, since September 2011, the management consulting profession can refer to a new standard, the European standard “Management Consultancy Services” EN 16114. The aim of this standard is to improve the transparency and understanding between clients and consultants. This should lead to better results for consulting projects and reduce barriers for the selection and use of consulting services.
Ilse Ennsfellner, CMC, Vice Chair of ICMCI and Chair of the Project Committee for the development of EN 16114, and spokesman in the Professional Association of Management Consultancy and IT, Robert Bodenstein, have contributed significantly to the development of this standard.
